The United Arab Emirates are set to host the two teams in a six-match group stage competition The United Arab Emirates (UAE) are set to host Asian countries Pakistan and Afghanistan in a T20I tri-series in Sharjah, starting August 29 (Friday). According to the press release, the teams will face off against each other twice during the group stage, with the top two teams then qualifying for the final on September 7 (Sunday). Afghanistan will take on cross-border rivals Pakistan in the tournament opener, on August 29 (Friday), with the tri-series set to be a warm-up before next month’s Asia Cup. UAE will kick off their tri-series against Pakistan on August 30 (Saturday). With the final on September 7, it will be the perfect preparation for all three teams heading into the Asia Cup, which begins on September 9 in the UAE.
