FM Dar meets Chinese counterpart in Beijing

   Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar met with Chinese Communist Party’s International Department Minister Liu Jianchao in Beijing, with both sides agreeing to further strengthen strategic cooperation between Pakistan and China. During the meeting, the two leaders emphasised enhancing collaboration between political parties, including closer ties between Pakistan’s ruling party and the Chinese Communist Party. Dar is set to begin his official visit to China on Monday, where he is expected to meet senior Chinese officials to discuss bilateral and regional issues. Reports indicate that tensions between India and Pakistan will be among the topics of discussion. The Taliban’s foreign minister is scheduled to arrive in Beijing on Tuesday, according to Pakistani media.
