FM Dar meets Chinese counterpart in Beijing

Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar met with Chinese Communist Party’s International Department Minister Liu Jianchao in Beijing, with both sides agreeing to further strengthen strategic cooperation between Pakistan and China. During the meeting, the two leaders emphasised enhancing collaboration between political parties, including closer ties between Pakistan’s ruling party and the Chinese Communist Party. FM Dar reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to deepening its “iron-clad friendship” with China, while Liu assured Beijing’s continued support for Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. “China will firmly stand by Pakistan in safeguarding its core interests,” Liu said.
