Legal Delays in Imran Khan's Classification Case: What You Need to Know


 In a recent development in Pakistan, the formal charging of PTI leader Imran Khan and his associate, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, in a classification case has been postponed by a week. The delay occurred when their legal team raised objections to receiving pertinent documents during the final court session.

The case is being heard in a special court dealing with classified information under the Official Secrets Act. It's worth noting that the proceedings are not open to the public, raising concerns about transparency. Some are advocating for media access to the courtroom to shed light on the matter.

The case revolves around a missing diplomatic message that allegedly contained a threat to remove the PTI government from power. Imran Khan is already incarcerated in connection with another case known as the Toshakhana case, where he received a three-year prison sentence.
