 Zainab Ahmed stands at the forefront of American legal prowess, recognized for her exceptional career in prosecution and her pivotal role as a partner at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. Born in 1980 in New York to Naeem Ahmed, she has carved a distinguished path in the legal arena.

Educated at Columbia University, Zainab earned her Doctorate in Judiciary in 2005, following a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University in 2002. Her academic journey laid the foundation for a stellar career marked by profound contributions to national security and justice.

Before joining Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, Zainab served as a Senior Assistant Special Counsel to Robert S. Mueller, where she garnered acclaim for her leadership in prosecuting sensitive cases of counterterrorism, counterespionage, and cybercrime in Washington DC and New York courts. Her tenure included supervising a unit dedicated to these critical areas, comprising attorneys, investigators, and support staff.

At Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, Zainab co-chairs the National Security Practice Group and lends her expertise to the White Collar Defense & Investigations, Privacy, Cybersecurity, Data Innovation, and Labor and Employment Practice Groups. Her focus extends to regulatory compliance, civil litigation, and complex matters involving corruption, anti-money laundering, sanctions, and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA).

Zainab Ahmed's impact transcends national borders, encompassing federal, state, and international cybersecurity laws. She advises clients on intellectual property rights, handling enforcement defense and litigation with strategic acumen.
