Shafiq-Uz-Zaman Khan, a celebrated Pakistani calligrapher, has made an indelible impact on the sacred spaces of Islam with his artistry. Born in Rawalpindi and raised in Karachi, Khan’s passion for calligraphy was ignited in his early years, painting signboards to make ends meet.

His life took a transformative turn in 1979 when a Saudi businessman recognized his talent and invited him to work in Riyadh. This opportunity eventually led him to Madinah, where his calligraphy now adorns the Prophet’s Mosque, one of the holiest sites in Islam.

Khan's dedication and skill have been recognized at the highest levels. Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz al Sudais honored him for his exceptional contributions, and three of his masterpieces, crafted with 24-carat gold, are displayed in Al Rawdah Al Sharifa. Khan’s journey from humble beginnings to global recognition is a testament to the power of passion and perseverance.
