UAE: Egypt's Top Arab Investor and Important Trade Partner

As of April 2023, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has become the largest Arab investor in Egypt, with investments soaring to $9.6 billion. This significant financial commitment reflects the deepening economic ties between the two nations, encompassing a wide range of sectors from construction to logistics.

The UAE is also Egypt’s second-largest trade partner in the Arab world, with bilateral trade reaching $4 billion. Key exports from Egypt include natural pearls, precious stones, and ready-made clothing, while imports from the UAE focus on fuel, mineral oils, and plastics.

Beyond trade, the UAE and Egypt are collaborating on renewable energy projects, including a major wind power initiative in Egypt. This partnership not only strengthens their economic bonds but also paves the way for sustainable development.

The increasing flow of investments and projects highlights the growing synergy between the UAE and Egypt, promising continued growth and mutual prosperity.
