Eid Milad-un-Nabi Celebrations in Pakistan: A Day of Devotion and Joy

Eid Milad-un-Nabi, celebrated on the 12th of Rabi-ul-Awwal, marks the birth of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and is one of the most important religious occasions in Pakistan. This year, on September 17, cities across the country, including Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, and Peshawar, are beautifully adorned with green and white decorations, lights, and banners. Public gatherings, known as Mehfil-e-Milad, are held in mosques and homes, where people recite poetry and discuss the life and teachings of the Prophet.

The atmosphere is filled with joy, devotion, and unity, as imams deliver sermons about compassion, non-violence, and respect for humanity. This day serves as a reminder for Muslims to follow the Prophet's teachings in their daily lives. Security is heightened to ensure a peaceful celebration, as police guard mosques and processions. Across the world, Muslims in countries like Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Indonesia also celebrate this sacred day, spreading messages of love and peace.
