NADRA: Simplifying Pakistan's National Identity System

NADRA (National Database and Registration Authority), established on 10th March 2000, plays a crucial role in maintaining and regulating the citizen databases of Pakistan. The agency introduced the Smart National Identity Card (SNIC) in 2012, which has transformed how citizens interact with government services.

The SNIC is equipped with a data chip and 36 security features, making it a secure and versatile tool for a variety of official tasks. It is essential for activities such as voting, opening bank accounts, pension disbursement, and more. Every Pakistani citizen aged 18 and above is eligible for a NIC.

NADRA offers three types of ID cards based on processing speed and fees: Normal (Rs. 750, 31 days), Urgent (Rs. 1,500, 15 days), and Executive (Rs. 2,500, 7 days). With the latest updates, NADRA urges citizens to renew their ID cards promptly, ensuring uninterrupted access to essential services.

Make sure your Smart ID is renewed in time to avoid complications with financial, social, and legal activities!
