Pakistan’s Snooker Stars Shine in Mongolia’s World Cup Quarterfinals


 

Pakistani snooker players Asjad Iqbal and Awais Muneer have qualified for the quarterfinals of the IBSF Mongolia World Cup 2024 after securing thrilling victories in the Round of 16. Asjad made a stunning comeback after losing his first frame but came out on top with a 4-1 win against Hong Kong’s Chang Yu Kiu. Meanwhile, Awais Muneer delivered a strong performance, beating Chau Hon Man 4-2 despite a shaky start.

Their achievements mark a significant moment for Pakistan snooker, with both players consistently showcasing their skills on the international stage. Asjad and Awais are now set to face tough opponents in the next round—Gao Yang from China and Ali Garahgozlou from Iran.
