UAE’s Non-Oil Sector Thrives, Says OPEC Report

OPEC's September 2024 report shines a spotlight on the UAE’s booming non-oil sector. From January to July, Dubai attracted 10.62 million international visitors, marking an 8% rise compared to 2023.

This tourism surge is paired with the UAE's efforts to enhance its appeal to foreign investors through initiatives like 100% onshore company ownership and visa reforms. The UAE is also making it easier for businesses to set up by reducing associated costs.

Moreover, the country’s Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) rose to 54.2 in August, driven by increased consumer and business spending. With continued expansion in the non-oil sector, the UAE’s growth trajectory remains strong.
