Pakistan Ensures Safety for Chinese Nationals After Karachi Terror Attack

In a tragic incident near Karachi’s international airport, two Chinese nationals working on critical infrastructure projects were killed in a terrorist explosion. The attack, claimed by the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), has sparked concerns for the safety of foreign nationals involved in the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and other investments in Pakistan. The Pakistani Prime Minister, Shehbaz Sharif, has pledged to ensure the protection of Chinese nationals, emphasizing the importance of their role in the country’s development.

This attack comes amidst a tense backdrop, with Pakistan preparing for the upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit. The security of foreign dignitaries, including India’s Foreign Minister, is of paramount concern. Pakistan’s Finance Minister expressed deep condolences for the loss of lives, reaffirming the nation’s commitment to strengthening its bilateral ties with China.

Despite the recent violence, Pakistan remains steadfast in maintaining its partnership with China, focusing on mutual growth through CPEC and other collaborative ventures.
