Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz Welcomes Chinese Premier at the 23rd SCO Summit


 On October 15–16, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif extended a warm welcome to Chinese Premier Li Qiang and other international leaders at the 23rd Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit in Islamabad. Maryam highlighted the significance of this prestigious event, emphasizing its potential to enhance regional cooperation, boost economic development, and strengthen Pakistan's ties with China.

Maryam praised Pakistan’s longstanding friendship with China, noting the key role of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) in regional prosperity. She emphasized that the Chinese Premier's visit would further accelerate CPEC projects, creating job opportunities and promoting sustainable growth.

As Pakistan continues to grapple with economic challenges, the SCO Summit is seen as a turning point in expanding international cooperation. Maryam Nawaz expressed optimism that this gathering would help pave the way for lasting peace, economic stability, and a brighter future for Pakistan and the region.
