UAE and WHO Unite to Evacuate 210 Palestinians for Urgent Medical Aid

The UAE, in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO), has launched a critical humanitarian mission, evacuating 86 wounded Palestinians and 124 family members from the Gaza Strip. These individuals, including children and cancer patients requiring urgent medical care, were transported to Abu Dhabi for specialized treatment. This mission, marking the UAE’s 22nd evacuation, embodies President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan's commitment to providing extensive care for Palestinians in need.

Spearheading the initiative, His Excellency Sultan Mohammed Al Shamsi emphasized the UAE’s enduring dedication to Palestinian welfare. The UAE field hospital in Gaza has already provided care to over 50,000 patients since late 2023, and a floating hospital ship anchored at Al-Arish Port has treated over 6,400 individuals. The UAE’s relief operations have also supplied 43,000 tonnes of essential aid to support Palestinian families. This mission demonstrates the UAE’s unwavering commitment to compassionate humanitarian aid in collaboration with global partners.
