UAE’s Continued Support for Lebanon Amid Ongoing Crisis

The UAE has sent its 18th relief plane to Lebanon as part of the “UAE Stands with Lebanon” initiative, delivering 40 tonnes of crucial medical supplies. Launched in early October, this humanitarian airbridge addresses the urgent needs of those affected by the ongoing crisis in Lebanon, extending aid to both locals and Syrian refugees in nearby camps. UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan emphasized a commitment to humanitarian support, which has become a key tenet of the UAE’s foreign policy.

This initiative is in collaboration with international partners, including the World Health Organization (WHO) and UNHCR, to ensure aid reaches those in need. Sultan Mohammed Al Shamsi, the UAE’s Assistant Minister for Development Affairs, reaffirmed the nation’s dedication to humanitarian causes globally, rooted in a tradition established by the UAE’s founding leader, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. The UAE remains a steadfast supporter of Lebanon, embodying a compassionate legacy through continuous aid.
