Pakistan-UAE Trade Conference 2025: Strengthening Bilateral Economic Ties
The Pakistan Consulate General in Dubai, in partnership with the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), recently hosted the Pakistan-United Arab Emirates Trade Conference 2025 at the Pakistan Association Dubai. This significant event brought together international delegates, Pakistani exhibitors from Gulfood 2025, and key stakeholders from the business community to discuss and enhance trade relations between Pakistan and the UAE.
Prominent attendees included Pakistan’s Ambassador to the UAE, Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, Consul General Hussain Muhammad, and senior consulate officials. The conference also saw participation from delegates and business representatives from countries such as the USA, Egypt, Iran, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Peru, Nigeria, and China, highlighting its global significance.
In his address, Ambassador Tirmizi emphasized the UAE's role as a vital trade partner and a significant market for Pakistan's agricultural products. He noted the consistent growth in Pakistani exports to the UAE, attributing it to the strong demand for quality Pakistani goods. He stated, "The UAE is one of the oldest and most reliable markets for Pakistani products. We have witnessed a steady upward trend in our exports, reflecting the strong demand for high-quality Pakistani goods."
Trade and Investment Counsellor Ali Zeb Khan highlighted the conference's goal of fostering networking opportunities to explore collaborative ventures. He stressed the importance of such initiatives in enhancing trade relations and unlocking new avenues for economic cooperation between the two nations.
TDAP Director General Athar Hussain Khokhar discussed the diverse range of Pakistani agricultural products and their growing demand in international markets. He reaffirmed TDAP's commitment to supporting exporters and facilitating trade initiatives that bolster Pakistan's global trade presence.
The event concluded with a networking session, providing exhibitors and delegates an opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions and explore potential collaborations. This conference not only highlighted the existing strong trade ties between Pakistan and the UAE but also paved the way for future partnerships and economic growth.
