President Zardari's Two-Day Visit to Dubai

 


On March 14, 2025, President Asif Ali Zardari embarked on a two-day official visit to Dubai. In President Zardari's absence, Senate Chairman Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani assumed the role of Acting President, as mandated by the Pakistani Constitution. This provision ensures the continuity of governmental functions whenever the President is abroad or otherwise unable to perform official duties. The Cabinet Secretariat issued a formal notification confirming this temporary transition of power.

The visit underscored the importance of Pakistan's relationship with the UAE, a key partner in the Middle East. Both nations have historically enjoyed strong economic and cultural ties, with numerous Pakistanis residing and working in the UAE. Discussions during the visit likely encompassed trade, investment opportunities, and collaboration in various sectors such as energy and infrastructure.
