Noor Zaman’s Big Win in Squash

 


Noor Zaman, a young squash player from Pakistan, recently made the country proud by winning the U23 World Squash Championship. The event took place in Karachi, where Noor faced a tough opponent, Karim El Torkey from Egypt, in the final match. Even though he lost the first two games, Noor didn’t give up and made a strong comeback to win the next three games.


The final match was very exciting. Noor lost the first two sets with scores of 9-11 and 6-11. But he stayed focused and fought hard to win the next three sets with scores of 11-9, 11-5, and 11-5. This shows how determined and hardworking he is. His victory was a proud moment for everyone watching, especially the fans in Pakistan.


Before the final, Noor also played well in the semifinal round. His opponent from Malaysia, Ameeshenraj Chandran, had to leave the match due to an injury. Noor was already leading the game when this happened. This gave him a chance to rest and prepare for the big final against the Egyptian player.


This win is not Noor Zaman’s first achievement. Earlier, he also won the Chief of the Air Staff-Serena Hotels International Squash Championship in Islamabad. In that event, he beat Nasir Iqbal, another strong Pakistani player. These wins show that Noor is becoming one of the best young squash players in the country.


Many people, including Pakistan’s President and Prime Minister, praised Noor for his victory. They said he has made the whole nation proud. Noor’s success is also a big encouragement for other young athletes in Pakistan who dream of playing sports at the international level.


Noor Zaman’s journey in squash is just beginning. With his strong game and positive attitude, he is expected to achieve even more in the future. His story is a great example of how hard work, practice, and belief in oneself can lead to big success.
