Pakistan Showcases Energy Innovations at Middle East Energy 2025 in Dubai
Pakistan has made a strong presence at the 49th edition of Middle East Energy 2025, which began on April 7 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. The Pakistan Pavilion was officially inaugurated by Ambassador Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, the country’s representative to the United Arab Emirates. This major event is known as one of the most important energy exhibitions in the region, attracting more than 40,000 professionals and 1,600 companies from around the world.
The opening ceremony was attended by key Pakistani officials including Consul General Hussain Muhammad, Trade & Investment Counsellor Ali Zeb Khan, and Chairman of the Pakistan Business Council in Dubai, Mr. Shabbir Merchant. Pakistani exhibitors were also present to introduce their products and solutions to international visitors. Their participation underlines the growing interest and involvement of Pakistani businesses in the global energy sector.
The Pakistan Pavilion, managed by the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), features eight leading companies from Pakistan. These companies are presenting new ideas and technologies in five major areas of energy transition. These include smart energy solutions, clean and renewable energy, backup power systems, power transmission and distribution, and energy management tools.
Ambassador Tirmizi expressed his pride in seeing Pakistan's progress in the energy industry. He said it was an honor that Pakistani companies were taking part in such an important international event. He highlighted the growing global attention on Pakistan’s energy solutions, especially in the areas of renewable energy and modern power infrastructure.
The Ambassador also spoke about the strong trade relationship between Pakistan and the UAE. He mentioned that the UAE is one of Pakistan’s top trading partners, and events like Middle East Energy are a great opportunity to increase business connections. Pakistani companies can learn from others, share their knowledge, and build valuable partnerships at such global platforms.
