Punjab’s Big Support Plan for Wheat Farmers
The Punjab government has announced a big relief plan worth 15 billion rupees to help wheat farmers. This plan was launched by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif to support farmers and increase wheat production in the province. It shows that the government wants to improve the lives of farmers and help the agriculture sector grow.
Under this plan, the government will give 1,000 green tractors and 1,000 land levelers to farmers for free. These machines will help make farming easier and faster. Farmers who own 12.5 to 25 acres of land will get land levelers, while those with more than 25 acres will be eligible for tractors.
To make things fair, the government will use a lucky draw (balloting) to decide which farmers get the machines. This way, everyone has a fair chance to receive help, and the process stays transparent and honest.
Along with the machines, the government will also provide good quality seeds, fertilizers, and pesticides without any interest. These will be given through the Punjab Kisan Card. This card will help farmers buy the things they need for their crops without extra financial pressure.
The plan follows the slogan “Kisan Khushal, Punjab Khushal,” which means “Happy Farmers, Happy Punjab.” The goal is to make farming more successful and to ensure that farmers can grow more wheat and earn a better living.
Farmers who want to apply or get more details can call the Agriculture Helpline at 0800-17000. They can also visit the Agriculture Department’s website or Facebook page. This support plan is a great step to help farmers and improve food production in Punjab.
